When You Need Copies of Your Divorce Documents
If you
used me for your uncontested divorce, and if you've lost or misplaced the
copy of the divorce decree I sent to you, I can send you a new copy, but
there's an administrative charge of $20 to do so. For that reason, most
people opt to get it from the court directly by calling 256-761-2102 and
asking for it. The court is also set up to send you a certified copy of
your decree, which I cannot do. When you call, it will save time if you
have your case number (the one beginning with DR) ready.
That having been said, if you would like for me to email you one of the
documents from your divorce, I will be happy to do so. Please
send me an email with your name and the name of your spouse at the
time of the divorce and tell me what you need. At the same time, call my
main number, 205-979-6960, and leave me the number and expiration date of
your Visa or Mastercard. I'll follow up with an email to you, attaching
the documents you need.
